Water Sports

Several water sports can be enjoyed on Lake Trasimeno, with much of the activity being based around Castiglione del Lago.

Sailing

It is possible to book sailing courses at the Club Velico Castiglionese in Castiglione del Lago.

Directions

As you approach the outskirts of Castiglione turn right at the Co-op spermarket sign. Go past the Co-op to the end of the road and turn left. The sailing club is approximately 400 yards down the road on the right hand side at the edge of the lake.

Windsurfing

Windsurfing equipment can be hired from La Merangola, Lido Arezzo, in Castiglione del Lago. Canoes and Pedaloes are also available.

Directions

Continue past Castiglione, then turn up into the old town. Follow the road as it sweeps round to the left past Banca del Umbria on your right. After approximately 300 yards turn right into via della Resistenza. The entrance to the lido is at the end of the road.

Water-skiing

Water-skiing is available in the summer months only from the Sci Club Punta Navaccia in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, and the Sci Club Trasimeno in Castiglione del Lago. The latter is based in a caravan sited just before the sailing club.
